ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Shekinah

Shekinah is a Jewish word that refers to the presence of God. It is believed that when God was in the temple, He showed himself through the Shekinah, which was like a bright light or a cloud that was filled with holy energy. When the people saw the Shekinah, they knew that God was there with them. It was a way for the people to feel close to God and to know that He was listening to them. Nowadays, people still use the word Shekinah to describe the feeling of being close to God and feeling his presence in their lives. It’s like a warm, fuzzy feeling that makes you feel safe and loved. So, whenever you hear the word Shekinah, think of it as a way to describe God’s love and presence in our lives.
