Shift register lookup table

A shift register lookup table is a type of computer memory that stores information in different locations (called "registers") so it can be quickly accessed and used. It's like a filing cabinet where you can store different things in different folders so you don't have to search through a pile of papers to find the one thing you need. The shift register lookup table works the same way, only it stores information in registers rather than folders. This means the computer can find, or "look up," the information it needs much faster.
