ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Shipyard transporter

Okay kiddo, imagine you have a toy car and you want to move it from your bedroom to your living room. Usually, you would pick it up with your hands and carry it over there, right? Well, a shipyard transporter is like a giant machine that does the same thing but for really big things, like massive ships.

It's like a big flatbed truck with wheels that can move forwards, backward, left, and right. But instead of just driving on the road, it's on a track that goes right down into the water where the ships are floating. The transporter has big arms that wrap around the ship and lift it up so it can be moved around the shipyard.

When the transporter is carrying a ship, it has to go really slow so it's super safe. It's like when you're carrying a glass of water and you have to be really careful not to spill it. The transporter has to be really careful not to damage the ship or drop it into the water.

So, basically, a shipyard transporter is like a big toy truck that can lift super heavy things and move them around really slowly and safely.
