Shuddhi (Hinduism)

Okay kiddo, have you heard of Hinduism? Well, it is a religion that has been followed by many people for a very long time. Hindus believe that there are certain things that they need to do in order to be pure and good before they can have a connection with their gods.

One of the things that they do is called shuddhi. Now, shuddhi is a Sanskrit word which means purification. When Hindus do shuddhi, they are trying to purify themselves from any bad things that they may have done or thought about in the past. They do this by performing certain rituals and prayers.

Imagine your room is very messy and you need to clean it up before you can play with your toys. Shuddhi is kind of like cleaning up your mind and soul so that you can be a better person and connect better with your gods.

Some Hindus may perform shuddhi before important events like weddings and other religious ceremonies. It helps them to feel pure and ready for these important moments.

So, shuddhi is just like cleaning your room or taking a shower, but instead, it is meant for your mind and soul. And just like how you feel better after cleaning or taking a shower, Hindus feel better after shuddhi because they believe it helps them to be closer to their gods.
