ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Siesta

Siesta is when you take a nap or rest during the middle of the day, usually after lunch. It's like taking a break from playing or doing homework. In some countries, like Spain, people have siesta because it can get really hot during the day and it's hard to work or play when it's super hot. It's like taking a little nap to feel refreshed and energized for the rest of the day. Just like how you take a nap after you feel tired from playing, people take a siesta when they feel tired from working or being under the hot sun. Sometimes, people feel better and can do better work when they take a little rest in the middle of the day.
