A long time ago, there was a group of special people called Sikh Gurus. They were like really wise and kind leaders for the Sikh community. There were a total of 10 Sikh Gurus who taught people how to be good and follow the right path. They taught people about God, love, compassion, and how to live a good life.
The first Guru was Guru Nanak, who started the Sikh religion. He was followed by Guru Angad, Guru Amar Das, Guru Ram Das, Guru Arjan, Guru Hargobind, Guru Har Rai, Guru Har Krishan, Guru Tegh Bahadur, and Guru Gobind Singh. Each Guru added something special to the Sikh religion, like writings, music, or teachings.
The Sikh Gurus also helped their people during tough times, like when they were being attacked or when they were suffering. They were very empathetic and tried to feel what their people were feeling, then help them as much as they could.
Today, Sikhs still follow the lessons of the Sikh Gurus and try to live a good life, filled with kindness, compassion, and love.
