Simple rational approximation

Simple rational approximation is a way to get an estimate of something by using fractions and basic math. For example, if you wanted to know how many pieces of candy you had in a jar but didn't want to count them all, you could use simple rational approximation. You could measure the jar, or guess how full it is, and then use the volume or height of the jar to estimate how many candy pieces there are. That would be your simple rational approximation.
