ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Site analysis

Site analysis is like when you are exploring a new playground or park. You want to know everything about it before you start playing, like where the swings are, where the slide is, where the trees are, and where the picnic tables are.

In a similar way, people who want to build something on a piece of land or start a new project need to do a site analysis. It means that they closely look at the land and everything around it, such as plants, animals, rocks, soil, and water.

They analyze the land to understand if it is safe and suitable for their project. They also look at things like the climate and weather patterns, the history and topography of the land, and the people and communities who live nearby.

After they study all these things, they can make a plan for how they will use the land and what they will build on it. Site analysis helps them to make sure that their project will be successful and safe, and that it will not harm the environment or the people who live nearby.
