ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sixel

Sixel is a type of picture that you can make on a computer. It's made up of tiny little dots called pixels. Each pixel can be a different color, like red, blue, or green.

Imagine you have a big box filled with lots of little compartments. You can fill each compartment with a different color, just like coloring in a coloring book. When you put all the colors together in the right way, you can create a picture that looks like a real-life object, like a car or a flower.

Sixel is like that big box with lots of little compartments, and your computer uses it to make pictures. The more pixels you have, the clearer and more detailed the picture will be.

So next time you see a picture on your computer, remember that it's made up of lots and lots of tiny little dots!
