Skin dimple

Okay kiddo, so do you know what our skin is? It's like a big blanket that covers our whole body and keeps all of our insides safe. Sometimes, our skin can have little bumps or dents in it, kind of like when you poke your finger into a soft pillow and it leaves an indentation, right? That's what we call a skin dimple!

Sometimes skin dimples can be there all of the time, and other times they might only show up when we move our muscles in certain ways. These dimples can happen because of the way our skin and muscles are connected. Sometimes, the skin gets pulled inwards when the muscle flexes or moves, and that's how the dimple forms.

Skin dimples can be totally normal, but sometimes they can be a sign of something more serious going on in our bodies. If you ever notice a skin dimple that's always there or doesn't go away after a while, it's a good idea to ask a grown-up to take you to the doctor just to make sure everything is okay.
