So let's talk about Skittles, but not the yummy candy. We're talking about a game called Skittles that people play in some parts of the world.

So imagine there are 9 wooden pins standing in a triangle shape at one end of a long wooden alley. The alley is like a big long narrow path with wooden boards on the sides to keep the ball from rolling off.

Now the idea is to roll a big heavy ball down the alley and hit the pins so that they all fall down. This is called a strike.

But hitting all 9 pins at once is hard, so instead players try to knock down as many pins as possible in each turn. They get 3 tries per turn to try and knock down as many as they can.

Each pin is worth a certain amount of points, and the player with the most points at the end of the game wins.

So, Skittles is a game where you roll a ball down an alley to knock over wooden pins and score points. It's kind of like bowling, but with a different setup and different rules.
