Slasher film

Okay kiddo, have you ever watched a scary movie where there's a bad guy who wears a mask or carries a weapon like a knife, and he chases after people to hurt them? That's called a slasher film.

Usually in a slasher film, there's a group of people (often teenagers) who are being stalked by the bad guy. The bad guy is usually a mysterious figure who we don't know much about. He might have a scary backstory or be seeking revenge for something.

As the movie goes on, the bad guy slowly hunts down and kills the people in the group one by one. It's very suspenseful and scary because the audience doesn't know who the bad guy will kill next or how they will escape.

Slasher films usually have a lot of blood and gore, so they can be pretty intense for young viewers. But they're a popular type of horror movie that people enjoy watching around Halloween time. Just make sure you don't watch them alone at night!
