Slave Trade Act

The Slave Trade Act was a law passed in the United Kingdom in 1807. It made it illegal to take people from Africa and make them work as slaves in other countries. People weren't allowed to buy or sell slaves anymore or take them away from Africa. This law helped protect people from being taken away against their will and ending up having to work as slaves in faraway places.
