Slide chart

Hey there kiddo! Do you know what a slide chart is? It's a really cool tool that helps you figure out the answer to a math problem or find out some specific information!

It kinda looks like a little plastic or cardboard board, like a mini tablet, and it's got a bunch of little sliding pieces on it. These pieces move up and down or side to side, and they have different pieces of information or numbers on them.

Let's say you want to know what two numbers add up to 10. You'd move the sliding part with the number 10 on it until it lines up with the middle part of the chart. Then, you'd slide the other part up and down until you find two numbers that add up to 10. When you line up the two numbers on the chart, you'll see the answer!

Slide charts can also help you figure out things like conversions, like how many inches are in a foot, or how many milliliters are in a liter. You just move the sliders around until you find the information you need.

They might seem a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, slide charts can be a really helpful tool for all sorts of problems!
