Slippery rail

Okay, so you know how sometimes when it's raining, the floor can get really slippery and you have to be careful not to slip and fall? Well, when it rains or snows a lot, train tracks can also get slippery and something called a "slippery rail" can happen.

To avoid a slippery rail, people put a special kind of sand and other materials on the train tracks. This helps give the train's wheels more traction and grip the track better, so they can stop safely.

So remember, when it's raining or snowing a lot, the train tracks can get slippery like a banana peel, but we can make them safer by putting some sand on them!
