ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Slow cinema

Okay, kiddo. Have you ever watched a really slow movie? A movie where nothing seems to be happening and you're waiting and waiting for something exciting to happen? Well, that type of movies is called "slow cinema".

Slow cinema is like a turtle. It moves very slowly, taking its time to show you every tiny detail. Just like when you're walking with your mom, and she points out a bug or a flower, and you stop to look at it very closely. Slow cinema is kind of like that. It takes its time to show you every little thing.

Sometimes people like slow cinema because it gives them time to think and feel the emotions of the movie. It can be just like a slow dance. It might seem boring at first, but once you get into it, you really start to feel it.

But, some people don't like it because they get impatient waiting for something to happen. They want to see things happening quickly, just like when you play a fast-paced game.

So, basically, slow cinema is like taking things really slow and showing you every little detail. It can be boring for some people, but others really like it because it helps them feel the emotions of the movie better.
