Smile mask syndrome

Okay kiddo, so you know when you smile, your face muscles move and your mouth looks happy? Well, sometimes people wear masks that have a happy face on them, like a smiley face, but they don't really feel happy inside.

This can happen because people want to be polite and make others feel comfortable, so they put on the mask with the smiley face to seem friendly. But wearing the mask for a long time can make them feel sad or uncomfortable inside, like they're hiding their true feelings.

This is called "smile mask syndrome". It's important to remember that it's okay to feel different emotions and we don't always have to pretend to be happy just to make others feel good. It's better to be honest and true to ourselves.
