Smoking bans

Okay kiddo, so you know how some people like to smoke cigarettes or other things that aren't good for them? Well, sometimes those people go to public places like restaurants or parks and they light up and smoke in front of other people.

But here's the problem: when they smoke, the smoke goes into the air and other people have to breathe it in. And that's not good for those people, especially if they have asthma or other breathing problems.

So, to protect everyone's health and make sure that people can enjoy public places without having to breathe in smoke, some places have made what is called a smoking ban. That means that smoking isn't allowed in certain public places, like restaurants or parks.

It might seem kind of mean to not let people smoke wherever they want, but it's really for everyone's safety and well-being. And it's important to always follow the rule, just like we have to wear our seatbelts in the car to stay safe.
