Soap opera rapid aging syndrome

Sometimes, in TV soap operas, the writers want to fast forward time to make the storyline more interesting or to bring in new characters. So, they might make a baby suddenly turn into a teenager in just a few episodes. This is called Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome.

It's like using a magic wand to speed up time for the character on the show. They suddenly grow up much faster than anyone in real life would. This way, the show's writers can create new storylines that wouldn't have been possible otherwise.

Of course, this is just pretend and can only happen on TV shows. In real life, we all grow up at our own pace and can't just magically become older overnight!
