ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sobol sequence

Sobol sequence is kind of like a special pattern that we use when we need to organize a bunch of numbers in order. It is special because it helps us spread the numbers out so that we don't just bunch them all up together. We can use sobol sequences for example when we need to spread numbers out evenly on a map, or to make sure all the data points we choose to look at in our experiment are from different places. The sobol sequence is like a puzzle that is always the same and never changes, which makes it so easy for computers to generate the same order of numbers each time.
