ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Software requirements

Software requirements are instructions that tell a computer what it should do. They explain what something should look like, how it should work, and what it should be able to do. Think of requirements like the recipe for a cake. Just like a cake requires different ingredients, software requires different things like code, graphics, and data. All these things must be put together in the right way for the software to work properly.
