Soil resilience

Soil is the stuff that plants grow in. It's like the ground under our feet. Sometimes, bad things happen to the soil like a lot of rain or too much heat. This can hurt the soil and make it hard for plants to grow.

But soil resilience means that the soil can bounce back from those bad things. It's kind of like how our bodies can heal when we get a scrape or a cut.

Soil resilience happens when the soil has lots of good things in it like nutrients and tiny living things called microbes. These things help the soil stay healthy and able to fix itself when bad things happen.

So just like when we eat healthy food and exercise, we help our bodies stay strong and healthy. When we take care of the soil by giving it what it needs to be resilient, we help it stay strong too!
