Solar power satellite

A solar power satellite is a big structure in space that collects energy from the sun. The sun is a big ball of very hot gas in space that gives off a lot of energy. All of this energy is called sunlight. The solar power satellite collects this energy and then sends it to Earth. On Earth, the energy is used to power homes and factories and other things that need electricity.
