Solar sail

A solar sail is like a giant sail for a boat, but it is in outer space! Instead of having the wind move the sail like a boat does, the sail is pushed by sunlight, just like a sailboat can be pushed by the wind. The sail works like a giant mirror, reflecting the sunlight and getting pushed in the opposite direction. This pushes the solar sail, and the sail can use this push to move through space. This is how spacecrafts can get to places all throughout our solar system without using any fuel, just like a sailboat can use the wind to move without using fuel.
