Sooty

Sooty is like the dirt that comes out of a chimney when you burn things like wood or coal. It's made up of tiny particles that are left behind when things burn. You can see it on things like the inside of the chimney, the walls near a stove, or even on the inside of a BBQ. Sooty can make things look dirty and can even be bad for your lungs if you breathe it in. That's why it's important to clean it up and be careful when burning things to make sure you don't create too much sooty.
