ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

South Korean animation

Okay kiddo, you know how sometimes you watch cartoons on TV and they're made in America or Japan or Europe? Well, South Korea is another country that also makes cartoons, just like those other places. And there are lots of different styles of animation that the people in South Korea create.

Some of the South Korean animations are really funny and silly, like a show called "Pororo the Little Penguin." Others are more serious and tell important stories, like "Leafie: A Hen Into the Wild," which is about a brave mother hen who goes on an adventure to protect her baby chicks.

A lot of people really enjoy South Korean animation because the artists there put a lot of effort into the colors and movements of the characters. Some animations even have a special style that looks like it was drawn by hand, while others use computers to create the images.

So if you ever watch a cartoon on TV or online and it looks really cool and interesting, it might be from South Korea!
