ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Space architecture

Space architecture is the design of structures, environments, and systems that can be used and lived in in outer space. This could include things like space stations, satellites, research labs, habitats for astronauts, or anything else we might need in order to explore and live in space. Space architects have to consider things like the materials their structures will be made from, the amount of space they will need, and how they can protect the astronauts inside from the harsh conditions of space. Space architects also have to think about things like making sure the structure can be launched into space, reaching the right orbit and traveling safely through space. All these things need to be carefully planned in order to successfully build and launch a space structure.
