Spanish Guinea is a place very far away from here. It's a small country on the continent of Africa. A long time ago, Spain took control of this country and made it a part of their country. The people who lived there were called Guineans. They spoke many different languages, but mostly they spoke Spanish.
There were many different types of people living in Spanish Guinea. Some people were farmers and worked on the land to grow things like bananas and sugarcane. Other people worked in the cities and had jobs like shopkeepers or teachers. The country was rich in natural resources like oil, timber, and minerals.
However, the people of Spanish Guinea weren't always happy with the way the Spanish were treating them. They wanted to be able to make their own decisions and control their own country. Eventually, the Guineans fought for their independence, and in 1968 they were able to become their own country. They changed the name to Equatorial Guinea.
Nowadays, Equatorial Guinea is still a small country located in Africa. The people there speak many languages, but mostly Spanish and French. They have many different types of jobs like farming, fishing, and working in cities. They also have some beautiful wildlife, like gorillas and chimpanzees, and the country is working hard to protect these animals.
