ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Spatial anti-aliasing

Okay kiddo, so you know how when you draw a picture, sometimes the lines and edges look really jagged and not smooth? Well, that's kinda like what happens when you try to show a picture on a computer or a TV.

Spatial anti-aliasing is like magic that makes those jagged edges go away and makes everything in the picture look nice and smooth. It does this by blending the colors of the pixels around the edges so that they look more like the colors in the picture.

Basically, when you look at a picture or a video and everything looks nice and smooth, that's because of spatial anti-aliasing doing its job in the background. Hope that helps, kiddo!
