A specialist law enforcement agency is an organization that focuses on a specific type of crime or area of law enforcement, rather than being in charge of policing an entire community. They usually have a lot of experience and knowledge in that specific area and specialize in tackling bigger and more complex cases. For example, the FBI is an example of a specialist law enforcement agency that focuses on solving crimes that cross state lines or involve international terrorism.
