Speech community

A speech community is a group of people who talk the same way as each other. This means they use the same words, phrases, accent, and tone of voice when they talk. It's like a club for people who speak the same language or dialect. Just like how you have friends who like to play the same games as you, people in a speech community like to use the same words and talk in similar ways. The way people talk can be influenced by where they live, who they talk to, and their family background. But as long as they talk like the other people in their speech community, they're part of the club.
