Social network (sociolinguistics)

Sociolinguistics is the study of how language is used in different social contexts. It looks at things like how different people use language based on their age, gender, social class, or ethnicity. For example, a person from a working-class background might use different words and expressions compared to a person from a middle-class background. By studying social networks, sociolinguists can learn more about the different ways people communicate in different social contexts.
