Sponge reef

Okay kiddo, have you ever played with a sponge before? Well, imagine a really big sponge, like a whole reef made out of sponge! That's what we call a sponge reef.

These sponge reefs are found in the ocean and they're really important because they're home to lots of different types of animals, like crabs, fish, and even whales!

But they're also really fragile, which means they can easily get broken or damaged. That's why scientists are working hard to study them and protect them.

So basically, a sponge reef is like a big sponge city underwater where lots of animals live, and we need to be careful not to hurt it. Cool, huh?
