Spoor (animal)

Spoor is just a fancy word for animal footprints or tracks! When animals walk around in the dirt, snow, or mud, they leave marks behind that can tell us what kind of animal it is, which way it was going, and how big it is.

Sometimes, if you're lucky, you might find spoor from an animal like a deer, rabbit, or even a bear! Rangers and scientists really like to study spoor because it helps them learn more about how animals live and move around in their natural habitats.

So, next time you're out on a hike or exploring in the woods, keep an eye out for spoor and see if you can guess which animals might have made those tracks!
