Spray pond

A spray pond is a special type of pond that is built to help clean up dirty water. Imagine you're playing in the yard and you get all dirty, like covered in mud. You wouldn't want to go inside like that, right? You'd want to wash off first.

That's what a spray pond does for water that has dirt, bacteria, or other yucky stuff in it. The water gets sprayed up into the air, like a big fountain. This makes the water mix with the air, which helps to clean it. The dirty stuff gets broken down and taken out of the water.

Then, the clean water can flow out of the pond and be used for things like watering plants or filling up a lake or river. Just like how you're able to clean yourself off and then go back inside to play.

It's important to have spray ponds because clean water is very important for people, animals, and plants to live healthy lives. So, when we have dirty water we need to make it clean again. The spray pond is just one way we do that.
