Squatters union

Have you ever heard of a "squatter?" It's someone who doesn't own a house or apartment, but they live in it anyway without permission. People do this for all sorts of reasons - maybe they can't afford to buy or rent their own home, or maybe they're trying to make a statement about inequalities in society.

Now, imagine that there is a group of squatters who have all found a place to live together, maybe in an abandoned building or an empty lot. They're all in the same situation, and they stick together to support each other. This group of squatters is what we call a "squatters union."

Just like a regular union, a squatters union is there to protect and fight for the rights of its members. They might organize protests, negotiate with the authorities to try to get better living conditions, or offer legal help to members who are being threatened with eviction. Basically, the squatters union is a way for these people to come together and try to make their situation a little bit better.
