Stakeholder theory

Stakeholder theory is a way of thinking about how a business should work. It says that a business should look out for more than just its shareholders (the people who own a company) - it should also look out for other groups involved in it, like employees, customers, suppliers, the environment, and even the community. By taking care of these "stakeholders", the business can be sure that it will grow and do well in the long-term.
