Stamppot

Okay kiddo, so have you ever had mashed potatoes before? You know, the soft and yummy ones you can put gravy on? Well, in the Netherlands, they have something called stamppot which is a bit like mashed potatoes but with vegetables mixed in! They take a bunch of veggies like carrots, onions, and kale and boil them until they're soft. Then, they mash them up with some potatoes until everything is mixed together and it becomes a thick and hearty meal. Sometimes they even add some meat, like sausage or bacon, for extra flavor. People in the Netherlands really like stamppot because it's warm and filling, especially on cold days. And even though it might look a little weird with all the veggies mixed in, it actually tastes really good! So if you ever visit the Netherlands, be sure to try some stamppot - it's like a big hug in a bowl!
