ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Standardization

Standardization is like when you go to a new school and you need to learn the same things that everyone else has already learned. It means that everyone needs to do the same things and use the same tools so that it’s easier for everyone to understand each other. In business, standardization means that companies use the same processes and methods for doing things so that everyone is on the same page. For example, a company might standardize the way it makes products so that everyone in their factories has the same instructions and uses the same materials. This makes it easier for the company to produce things quickly and do business more efficiently.
