ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Standing wheelchair

Hello! So a standing wheelchair is a special kind of wheelchair that can help someone stand up and move around while still being seated.

So you know how you sit in a chair at school or at home? Well, imagine a chair that can help you stand up too! It has little motors and buttons that you can use to move the chair up and down.

The chair has special parts on it called footrests that can also move up and down to help your legs and feet be in the right place.

When you press the button, the chair will rise up and you will be able to stand up! This is really great because it can help people with disabilities or injuries to be able to stand up and move around without having to leave the chair.

It's kind of like magic, isn't it? These chairs are really helpful because they can help people feel more independent and move around more easily.
