Star (polygon)

A star polygon is a shape that looks like a star. It is made up of straight lines that connect points on the shape. Imagine drawing lines between points on a star shape, but the lines go all the way through the center of the shape, which makes it look like it has lots of points sticking out.

Some star polygons have an odd number of points, which makes them look like they have two layers of points, with one layer smaller than the other. Others have an even number of points, which makes them look more like a regular star.
