ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Starchitect

Okay kiddo, imagine that you are building your own Lego house. You design it from scratch and make it look really cool and unique. But what if you were so good at building Lego houses that people all over the world started talking about your designs? People might start calling you a "starchitect" – someone who is really famous and talented at designing buildings.

It's kind of like that in the real world, but with real buildings instead of Lego houses. Some architects are so good at their jobs that they become very famous for designing really cool buildings that lots of people admire. These architects are called "starchitects".

Starchitects might design big buildings like skyscrapers, museums, or stadiums. They might also design smaller things like houses, offices, or even furniture. But what makes a starchitect special is that they're really good at taking something ordinary (like an office building) and making it look really interesting and unique.

For example, a regular office building might just look like a bunch of rectangles stuck together. But a starchitect could design an office building that has lots of curves, or interesting colors, or is made of really unique materials. People might look at that building and say "Wow, that looks amazing!"

So basically, "starchitect" is just a fancy word for a really talented and famous architect who designs really cool buildings that lots of people like.
