Statistical distance

Statistical distance is a way of measuring how different two numbers are. It compares two numbers and then puts a number on how far apart they are. Think of it like this: If two numbers are very different, they are more distant from each other, like two very tall buildings are “further away” from each other than two small buildings. Statistical distance tries to do the same thing, measure how different two numbers are.
