Statue of John the Baptist, Charles Bridge

Okay kiddo, so the statue of John the Baptist is a big, tall statue of a man who is very important to some people. He was a man who lived a long time ago and helped teach people about a man named Jesus. The statue is made of strong material and is about as tall as a big tree!

Now, this statue is on a bridge called Charles Bridge, which is a special bridge in a big city called Prague. People walk across the bridge every day, and the statue is one of the very important things you can see while you're walking. It's been there for a very long time, even longer than most of our great-great-great grandparents have been alive!

A long time ago, people made this statue because John the Baptist was really important to them. They wanted to show their respect and remember him forever. And now, lots and lots of people come to see this statue on the bridge so they can learn more about John the Baptist and feel close to him too.
