Steady-state model

A steady-state model is a type of model that helps us understand how a system works and how it stays the same over time. It looks at the parts of the system, any inputs or outputs, and the transformation of energy or materials between them. It also shows us how it all works together and how it balances out over time so that the system remains the same. For example, if we have a pond with fish and water, then a steady-state model could show us how the number of fish and the size of the pond are related, and how adding more fish or taking some away won't change the system's overall shape.
