Steam tractor

A steam tractor is a big machine that runs on fire and water. Imagine you have a big pot of water on the stove and you start to boil it, steam will start coming out of the pot. The steam tractor works the same way, it has a big pot called a boiler where water is heated to make steam. Then, the steam goes to an engine, like the heart of the tractor that pumps the wheels and makes it go forward or backward.

Steam tractors were used a long time ago to plow fields and help farmers grow crops. They were also used to transport goods like logs and coal. They were very important machines because they helped people do more work in less time than using animals or human power. Some steam tractors were even big enough to pull trains!

But, steam tractors had some problems too. They were big, heavy and needed a lot of coal or wood to keep the fire burning. They were also dangerous because the boiler could explode if it wasn't taken care of properly.

Today, we don't use steam tractors as much. Most farmers use gas-powered or electric tractors that are easier to maintain and safer to use. However, some people still love steam tractors and keep them as a hobby. They sometimes take them to fairs or parades to show off their amazing machines.
