Steel design

Steel design is when we think about how to make things out of a really strong metal called steel. We use steel to make all kinds of things, like buildings, bridges, cars, and even knives!

When we design something made of steel, we have to think about how much weight it will have to hold up, how strong the steel needs to be, and how we can make it all fit together properly. We have to use math and science to figure out how to make the design work.

We also have to think about how the steel will react to different kinds of stresses, like weight, wind, and earthquakes. We want to make sure our design will be safe for people to use.

Once we have a design, we can start actually making the thing out of steel. We cut the steel into the right shapes, punch holes in it, and weld the pieces together. Then we test it to make sure it can hold up the weight it needs to.

Steel is a really strong and useful material, but we need to be careful when we design with it to make sure everything is safe and strong.
