ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Structural change

Structural change is when a lot of things around us change at the same time. It is like when you move to a new city, you have to go to a different school, find new friends, and learn a new way of getting around. Structural change can also happen in the economy, when a lot of different things in the economy change at once. For example, new businesses opening and older businesses closing, new jobs being created and jobs disappearing, and new technologies being used. All of these things can have an impact on people's lives and can cause changes in the way people live and work.
