ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Student orientation

Student orientation is when you go to a special event at your school to help you learn all about it. It's kind of like a big party where you can meet new friends and learn about your new school. You might get to play games, listen to people give speeches, and take tours around the school.

During the orientation, people will tell you important things like where to find your classrooms, how to use your locker, and what to do if you need help. You'll also get to know the teachers and other adults who work at the school. They're there to help you learn and have a fun time while you're at school.

Orientation is important because it helps you feel more comfortable and confident at your new school. You'll know what to expect and where to go if you need help. Plus, you'll get to meet new friends who might be in your classes or on your sports team.

So, just like when you have a playdate with a new friend and learn about their toys and games, student orientation is like that - it's just for your new school!
