Submarine landslide

Okay, so you know how sometimes when you play in the sand, you can build a big tower and then suddenly it falls down and makes a big mess? Well, something kind of like that happens underwater too, except it's much bigger and it can make a big wave that travels really far.

A submarine landslide is when a bunch of dirt and rocks suddenly fall down a steep underwater hill, kind of like when your sandcastle falls down. This can happen for different reasons, like the ground getting too heavy or there being an earthquake. When the dirt and rocks fall, they make a big mess and move around underwater, which can be dangerous for ships that are nearby.

Just like when you make a big mess with sand, the stuff from the submarine landslide can also make a big wave as it moves through the water. This wave can travel really far, and if it gets big enough it can even hit the coast and cause damage.

So, in summary, a submarine landslide is when dirt and rocks fall down underwater and make a big mess, which can create a big wave that can be dangerous for ships and even hit the coast.
